LOCATION / HOURS

  • / / Our shop mostly operates on an appointment only basis, although we occasionally take walk-ins. This means we may have spontaneous openings, or there may be a month+ long waiting list.

    / / An artist will review your request and respond with several available dates that will accommodate the size/complexity of your design.

  • / / We ask for a 72+ hour notice to reschedule. If you do not give advanced notice, your deposit may be forfeited. We offer one reschedule before another deposit is required.

BOOKING

  • / / You will be required by law to fill out a consent form, along with a copy of your ID.

    / / Your artist will spend some time going over your ideas, discuss options, and prepare a stencil. Please be patient during this process. We will not begin the tattoo until you are happy with the stencil.

    / / We do not charge for drawing time. The timer begins when we start the actual tattooing process.

    / / The appointment is CASH ONLY. Please be prepared when you come in for your tattoo.

    / / You may bring a drink/snacks with you. Note: these items are not allowed on the tattoo chairs.

    / / Wear dark clothing, or items that you have no concern potentially getting ink on.

    / / Be mindful of the area you are getting tattooed, and wear clothing that will accommodate for easy access. You may use the bathroom on site to change clothes.

  • No. You MUST be at least 18 years of age to get a tattoo.

  • / / You may bring a guest. Due to limited space, please do not bring more than one extra person.

    / / Children are not allowed in the tattoo space. We love your babies as much as you do, but a tattoo shop is not the place for them. Not only is it a safety concern, but it is also a distraction for artists and clients.

    / / If you disregard this rule, we will reschedule your appointment and politely ask you to leave.

TATTOO APPOINTMENT 

  • / / Shop rate is $150/hr, plus a $20 set up fee… pricing will entirely depend on the size, complexity, detail, color, and placement. We cannot guarantee a price estimate due to these varying factors.

    / / We do not charge for drawing time. The timer begins when we start the actual tattooing process.

    / / Your deposit will be taken off the final price.

  • / / Once you choose a date, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. This will be taken off the final cost of your tattoo.

    / / A deposit is required for every new appointment.

    / / The deposit amount will range between $60 - $200. Smaller designs will start at a $60 deposit, and the price will go up with the size/complexity of the tattoo.

    / / The deposit will be forfeited if you are more than 30 minutes late to your appointment without notification, or if you reschedule your appointment less than 72 hours in advance. You may only reschedule ONCE before a new deposit is required.

    *By leaving a deposit, you are consenting to this policy.

  • / / If you were tattooed at Somatika, we offer one free touch up per tattoo. You must request a touch up within 6 months of being tattooed. After that, we charge the standard shop rate.

    / / If you were tattooed elsewhere, we ask that you fill out the online consultation found in the “BOOK HERE” tab. Pricing will be standard shop rate.

    / / Keep in mind, YOU are responsible for your own aftercare, and we do not offer free touch ups on tattoos that were improperly taken care of.

PRICING / DEPOSIT

  • / / It is VERY important to follow up your appointment with proper after care, ESPECIALLY within the first 3 weeks. YOU are responsible for your own aftercare, and we do not offer free touch ups on tattoos that were improperly taken care of.

    1)) For the first few weeks, you’ll want to wash your fresh tattoo at least 2-3 x daily, using a *liquid antibacterial soap. (e.g.: gold dial, soft-soap, etc)

    2)) After washing, pat the area dry with a clean towel.

    3)) Once the clean tattoo is dry, apply a very thin layer of an unscented moisturizer. *Talk to your ARTIST about what options may work best for your skin type!

    4)) AVOID saunas, tanning beds, and standing water (e.g. swimming pools, oceans, bathtubs, hot tubs, etc) for at least 3 weeks!

    5)) If you go into the sun, wear a protective covering to avoid sun exposure and increase the longevity of your tattoo.

  • / / Healing time varies per individual, but generally it takes around 3 weeks for the tattoo to begin settling

  • / / You’ll want to wait at LEAST 3 weeks before getting into any standing water (e.g. lakes, swimming pools, oceans, bath tubs, etc)

    / / It is VERY important to follow up your appointment with proper after care, ESPECIALLY within the first 3 weeks. YOU are responsible for your own aftercare, and we do not offer free touch ups on tattoos that were improperly taken care of.

  • / / It is VERY important to follow up your appointment with proper after care, ESPECIALLY within the first 3 weeks.

    / / Some redness and soreness is normal within the first few days.

    / / You may experience a clear liquid coming out of your fresh tattoo (though it may have traces of ink). This is plasma and it is normal. If the liquid looks white, green, or discolored then contact your artist immediately. A discolored, pus-like liquid could mean infection.

    / / Your tattoo may go through a “shedding/flaking” process within the first week or two. It will likely itch! This is normal. DO NOT PICK at your tattoo. You may use your tattoo ointment more frequently during this time to help with discomfort.

    / / If you have ANY questions or concerns, contact your artist IMMEDIATELY. If complications persist, you may need to contact your health care provider.

TATTOO AFTERCARE
